Uxbridge & South Ruislip Labour Party A London Labour CLP
There are many blossoming groups in the London area, and wider, who are eager to help with the campaign. However, the electoral commission has strict rules on which third party activity we can accept. As such:
“Any expenditure on election material or travel that you publish is not authorised by me as the election agent, nor will any material be made use of by me or anyone connected with Ali Milani’s election campaign. You are therefore personally responsible for compliance with all relevant provisions of the Representation of the People Act 1983 in regards to the content of, and expenditure on all election material.” Norrette Moore – Election Agent
Uxbridge and South Ruislip Labour party do not utilise third party organisations in this short campaign. We rely on individual members and supporters throughout the short campaign.
The Electoral Commission’s advice for your organisation.
We draw your attention to the section in the Notional Spending Factsheet: https://www.electoralcommission.org.uk/sites/default/files/pdf_file/Notional-Spending-Factsheet-2019.pdf
“If the third party has spent more than the legal limit on this activity without your authorisation, it may have committed an offence under s75 of the RPA.”
If I have not authorised your expenditure in writing then you may fall foul of the RP Act. – Norrette Moore – Election Agent.
