We are pleased to introduce Ali Milani as our candidate at the next General Election.

There was a fantastic turnout from our members at our shortlisted candidate hustings and they selected Ali to unseat Boris Johnson. Ali said, ‘I would like to thank our membership for putting their faith in me to win this seat at the next election, a young, Muslim, local councillor’.

Ali promises to be everything our current MP isn’t – a full time, local MP who puts residents first. In a message to Boris Johnson he added, ’Our movement will put an end to the damage you and your government have caused our community since 2010. Whenever the time comes, we’ll be ready!’

Ali has lived, worked and studied in the constituency and is currently the Vice President of the National Union of students. He was elected as a councillor for Heathrow Villages in May this year, has campaigned on education issues, supported the Junior Doctor strikes and strongly opposes the proposed third runway at Heathrow. He also worked for Jeremy Corbyn on his first leadership campaign. Shadow Chancellor, John McDonnell endorsed Ali by saying, ‘Ali has great support from the membership and within the community. He has already demonstrated the type of Labour MP he’ll be, a community MP. We are going to win this campaign but we need your support to do it’.
