This month’s AMM (All Members Meeting) had a great turnout, with many new members logging on to join the discussion.

Our guest speaker this month was Ali Milani, our Prospective Parliamentary Candidate in 2019, who reported to us on the Labour Muslim Network’s report into Islamophobia in the party. The report’s findings are shocking, with more than 1 in 4 Muslims reporting having directly experienced Islamophobia in the party. We also heard of Ali’s appalling personal experiences of racism during the 2019 election. The report makes several recommendations, including a new transparent and impartial complaints procedure. We hope that these recommendations will be implemented by the party leadership.
