Uxbridge & South Ruislip Labour Party is dismayed that our part time, missing MP has been announced as the next Prime Minister.

James Clouting, local Labour Party Press Officer said, ‘I cannot believe the situation the country now finds itself in. Boris Johnson was dumped on this constituency and he has now been dumped on us as Prime Minister. He has only ever showed his face here for photos and given that his office struggles to reply to the most basic of emails, there is no way they’ll be able to cope with him as Prime Minister. Today’s somewhat inevitable announcement has only made us more determined to unseat him’.

Labour’s Parliamentary Candidate Ali Milani reacted with, ‘Boris Johnson has been a terrible MP, an embarrassing Foreign Secretary, and he will be both of those and more as Prime Minister. His track record of lying and division speaks for itself. He has no mandate from the public or a plan to unite the country. Only Labour has’.

He added, ‘On Sunday 250 activists came to Uxbridge to campaign for a full time, local voice as their MP. When a General Election is called, and there is one on the way, those numbers will only increase as we strive to make history by unseating the Prime Minster and deliver the Jeremy Corbyn led Labour government that the country desperately needs’.
